RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

IMG_4129.jpg

Independent Living, Inc. residential facilities include two group homes—Magnolia House (with the capacity to serve 9 female clients) and Oak Ridge House (with the capacity to serve 9 male clients). We also have an apartment building with single units to serve five residents.

The ILI group homes are the only residential facilities for individuals with developmental disabilities in Boone County. Established in 1985, the residential program offers adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live in a group home with 24 hour supervised assistance and care.

Each group home client has an individual bedroom, and shares a bathroom with one other resident. Common living areas include a large kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, and back yard with patio. Activities such as volleyball, basketball, board games, singing, dancing, and attending movies are offered to the clients to promote socialization and maximize independence.
